COWPARADE
It is a free event for art, charity and fun! The world’s most famous public art event, CowParade, is still going on and what a fabulous success it has been so far.
77 talented artists/art groups have transformed life-sized fibreglass cows into ‘moo’ving’ pieces of art. Tthe cows graze on public display at iconic attractions and local businesses throughout the Margaret River region through to June 2010.
CowParade has been held in over 50 cities around the world including ‘udderly’ fabulous destinations such as Paris, Tokyo, London and New York.
Don't miss being part of this unique and fun event. Vote for your favourite cow and enter the Cash Cow Quiz to win fabulous prizes! Many of Willy Bay's close neighbours are exhibiting cows, including Knee Deep Wines, The Grove, Evans and Tate, The Margaret River Chocolate Company and Woody Nook Wines.
CHARITY AUCTION
July 10 to 19
At the end of the CowParade Margaret River public art event, the cows will be auctioned off for the benefit of non profit charities and environmental projects.
The live auction will be held at Signal Park, Busselton, on the 10th of July 2010. Viewing of the cows commences at 3.00pm with the auction kicking off at 4.30pm. Tickets to the Live Cow Auction are ONLY available from the Margaret River & Busselton Visitor Centres. For $55 you get the chance to bid, drinks, canapes and a memorable finale to CowParade Margaret River. Numbers are strictly limited and the event is sure to sell out - if you are interested you better get in fast to snatch up your piece of beautiful artistic history!
The remainder of the cows will be sold online at www.tradeaway.com.au with bidding opening on Saturday 10th July and closing on Monday 19th July. A great opportunity for those who can't make it to the live auction to get their hands on a beautiful bovine!
